MATERNAL LOVE ...........IT IS BEAUTIFUL AND COMMON TO ALL CREATURES.


A mother is unique. There is none equivalent to her in this world.She is an epitome of unlimited,selfless love,sacrifice and is a pillar of strength to her family. 

   Mother is someone who carries her baby in her womb for ten months, and gives birth to the baby suffering a huge amount of pain, sometimes has surgery to deliver the baby by cutting open her abdomen.And many a time she sacrifices her life in the process of childbirth.And all this, so she can her bring the baby into the beautiful world. 
MOTHERLY LOVE
 Many people have heard about the "Tajmahal" one of the seven wonders of the world.But how many people know that this was built as a mausoleum for the famous Mumtaj Mahal who died giving birth to her fourteenth child? How pathetic and heart rending is her story. It is the story of a distressed mother and not the story of divine love as we all know. And  her husband Shahjahan married again after six months!

Maternal love is beautiful and is common to all creatures.Right from man to elephants,  dogs,cats,monkeys,guerrillas,bears,otters, and a great list goes on and on. A mother is like a beautiful goddess. She gives birth to the child, nurses the baby and feeds it when it gets older. The mother is the first teacher of her child and teaches it how to see the world and live in it.She suffers herself when her child gets hurt or falls ill and nurses her baby back to health. 

 This applies to human mothers, but a great part of it applies to other animals as well.Even to the tiny creatures like fruit eating bats.

The above picture was taken some months back when it was breeding time and there was not sufficient light in the deep reaches of the date palm tree. I will write about these tiny fruit eating creatures about the size of a small lemon in my next article. Sometime back I had written two blogs about bats and these fruit eating bats.Note the babies hidden in their mama's wings and a newborn baby in the wing of a bat mama.
 Here is another video about maternal and paternal instinct in these tiny bats! Really I have been observing and photographing these bats and larger Indian flying foxes. Their lives are so similar to those of us human beings.Very interesting.

 And now I will upload videos of a newborn goat struggling to get at the milk of it's mama.The new born baby goat with the umbilical cord dangling and with unsure steps,falling again and again finally succeeds to get at it's mama's milk.
And nowadays due to animal care centres everywhere, and loving homes, orphaned animal babies are looked after by goats,dogs etc. Now that is a beautiful relationship.

The orphaned baby pig actually thinks that the goat is it's mama! What a sweet scene.


And dogs taking care of orphaned bunnies.Really beautiful. The modern animal shelters rescue and look after these lovely animals and they train cats, goats etc. to take care of the babies.The earth is a beautiful place where the orphaned animals are rescued and after resuscitation and recovery, are sent to permanent foster homes or are released in to the wilds.

 And a final tragic picture about maternal love.An injured and dying monkey feeds her baby lovingly.The scene is heart rending and very sad.It brings tears to the eyes and makes us very sad.

.
Well......Such is maternal love whether it is in animals or humans. A mother is indeed unique. No one can equal her love for her offspring.

Hi.............after a long time. But with a decisively useful subject.I hope who read this will share it with the people who need it most.
