| Heights of world's tallest statues compared COURTESY INTERNET.
It is located on the river island called Sadhu Bet facing the Narmada Dam near Rajpipla in Indian state of Gujarat, 100 km to the south east of Vadodara.It is a monument dedicated to the Indian Independence leader, one of the founder fathers of the Republic of India,the first deputy prime minister, Sardar Vallabhai Patel.
The project was contracted to Laurson & Toubro in 2013.Now it stands finished at a glorious
182 meters.The monument along with its surroundings occupies over 20,000 square metres,
and is surrounded by a 12 square km artificial lake.
On the outside, the Sardar Patel statue is plated with 1,700 tonnes of bronze and 1,850 tonnes of bronze cladding made up of 565 macro and 6,000 micro panels.
The core of the statue is made up of 210,000 cubic metres of cement concrete, 18,500 tonnes of reinforced steel and 6,500 tonnes of structural steel.
Against the picturesque backdrop of Vindhyachal and Satpura mountain ranges and the
Narmada river the statue has again, India has again done us proud and announced
to the world that: WHAT THE WORLD CAN DO,INDIA CAN DO BETTER.
Let us see how the statue is constructed.The total cost of construction came to a whopping Rs,2989 crores.The lucky sculptor was 93 yr old Padma Bhushan Ram.V.Suthar, a very acclaimed sculptor.
The statue is divided into five zones - Up to its shin is the first zone, comprising three levels, including an exhibit floor, mezzanine and roof. This zone will contain a Memorial Garden and a large museum. Zone 2 extends up to the statue’s thighs at 149 metres, while Zone 3 goes up to the viewing gallery at 153 meters. Zone 4 comprises the maintenance area and Zone 5 the head and shoulders.
The viewing gallery at the height of 135 metres can accommodate up to 200 people at a time
Well, every Indian ought to be proud.But there are several ante opinions too. We will talk about both the sides.
So some people are talking ill of our world achievement. In their own way maybe they are feeling they are right. And some other people have quite varied opinion.
Well ,While the Statue of Unity has put Indians once again on the world map, some feel that it is in a remote place with difficult access. But not to bother.The clever Indian will find solutions for that.

We are proud of India.And we are proud of the Statue of Unity which is the tallest statue in the world.And this statue is definitely going to be a tourist attraction and bring plenty of revenue flowing in. India is famous because of this statue.
But a revered word to our Prime minister. Since the statue was mainly built with Petroleum money, you can help the average Indian struggling to pay for petrol ,make his burden bearable by reducing the rapidly escalating petrol costs.
